Pure Local Set Honey

All of our honey, made by our hardworking bees, begins as clear or “runny” honey. However, depending on the flowers the bees forage from, some honey naturally begins to set quite quickly. For example, our spring honey—primarily gathered from oil seed rape (OSR)—has a high glucose content, which causes it to crystallise soon after extraction.

This results in a smooth, creamy set honey that’s perfect for spreading on toast, bread, crumpets or croissants. It’s virtually drip-free, making it ideal for children (and adults!) who want a mess-free way to enjoy honey. In fact, this type of set honey is a firm favourite with our own children.

While many people assume they prefer runny honey, we’ve found that once they try a proper, naturally set honey, they often change their minds!

Our honey is completely unpasteurised and only lightly filtered, so it retains all of its natural goodness—just the way the bees intended. From hive to jar, we keep things simple and honest.
